545 Families Separated Under Border Patrol

By: Eris Lowdermilk

Lawyers who were arranged by a federal judge were in charge of identifying families who were separated under the Trump administration are struggling.

They have yet to pinpoint the parents of 545 children. Around two-thirds of the parents were emigrated to Central America without their children with them, before a federal judge in California could reunite the families.

As the search to bring these families back together, some of the parents have decided for their children to remain in the US for safety reasons.
