On Saturday, August 23rd, the parking garage of the Beasley Media Complex transformed into a live music venue as 90.5 WASU in association with AppTV hosted Battle of the Bands. Featuring six genre-bending acts from all over North Carolina and Virginia, the free event drew an energetic crowd and showcased the creative power of student-run media.
Meet the Bands
Ellie K: A fusion of rock, punk and pop that lit up the crowd with raw vocals and infectious energy. Their cover of Paramore’s “All I Wanted” left the audience visibly moved.
