In local news, mice have been found in an App State dining hall. According to The Appalachian, two mice have been trapped this semester: one being in Roess Dining Hall and the other being trapped in the basement’s dry storage area. Executive Director of Campus Dining Elizabeth Riede told The Appalachian that there has been no contamination of the food from the mice, and that the university is working with Dodson Pest Control. Based on the most recent health inspection reports of the dining halls, each dining hall and area have received an A for their score.


In state news, Fuel Pizza in South End, Charlotte closed its doors. According to WBTV, the staple pizza restaurant closed business Monday March 6th, after being open for over 20 years. According to WBTV, the restaurant’s management said they plan to re-open a new location somewhere else in South End.


In national news, the four Americans kidnapped in Mexico last week were found. According to the Associated Press, Mexican officials said two of them were killed in Mexico as a result of their van being caught in a shootout between cartel groups. The other two are alive, with one of them being injured.
