What to Know About the Next Presidential Debate

By: Eris Lowdermilk

The second presidential debate will occur Thursday, October 22 from 9-10:30 pm EST. This will be the final debate between current president Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.

It will be held at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee with Kristen Welker from NBC as the moderator. A huge change in comparison to previous debates will be represented by having both of their microphones cut for a portion of the debate.

Their mics will be muted after their two-minute response to questions in order to avoid interruptions. Each topic will receive an amount of time of 15 minutes. The topics are, fighting Covid-19, American families, race in America, climate change, national security, and leadership.
