Winter storm takes over Texas and devastates the majority of the state leaving the residents in a crisis. Hundreds of thousands of people even days after the storms had no power, people freezing to death, and water pipes are bursting.
The storm, named Uri, descended upon Texas with temperatures in some areas being in the single digits, and wind chills causing temperatures to be in the negatives.
The state of Texas was not prepared for such weather, leaving the citizens to deal with houses that are not properly insulated, water shortages, and about 31 deaths.
As a result, Governor Greg Abbott requested aid from the Federal Emergency Declaration which was approved, and updates are to come.
