Updates on Hurrican Iota

News Staff

By: Eris Lowdermilk

Hurrican Iota slowed down the morning of Nov 18 after tearing through Central America and causing damage.

As some parts of Central America see up to 12 inches of rain, the storm landed in Nicaragua with Category 4 winds where the hurricane Eta appeared two weeks earlier.

It is hard to tell what damages Iota caused as there were power outages throughout Central America. Flooding is the main issue in most of the Central American countries, such as Honduras.

The last day of hurricane season is Nov 30.
