NASCAR Sports Update: Hamlin dominates, becomes six-time Pocono winner (6/28/20) By: Josh Scott

Denny Hamlin beat Kevin Harvick by 3.068 seconds en route to winning the Pocono 350 on Sunday, capping off the second race of the double-header weekend at Pocono Raceway. Hamlin finished second in Saturday's race to Harvick, who picked up his first Pocono win. This is the fourth win of 2020 for the Chesterfield, VA native, and is also his 41st career win. Hamlin now has six victories at Pocono, which ties Hall-of-Famer Jeff Gordon for most all-time.

Erik Jones, Hamlin's teammate, finished third followed by Chase Elliott and Aric Almirola. Jones has now finished inside the top five in four of the last five Pocono races. Matt DiBenedetto, William Byron, Clint Bowyer, Alex Bowman, and Martin Truex Jr rounded out the top 10. Almirola, Bowyer, and Truex Jr, all finished in the top 10 in Saturday's race.

Kurt Busch, a two-time Pocono winner, won Stage One while 2012 Cup champion Brad Keselowski won Stage Two.

The Cup Series travels to the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 5th for Independence Day weekend. The Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard will start at 4 p.m. that day on NBC. Harvick won last year's race, which was run in early September. Harvick remains the points leader now by 52 points over Ryan Blaney.
