Yesterday NASA launched its first powered and controlled flight of an aircraft on another planet. The Ingenuity helicopter landed on Mars around 3:30 AM Eastern Time
The agency made a statement that the aircraft will provide support for flight operations, taking pictures, gathering environmental data, and will communicate with the NASA station.
The Ingenuity helicopter arrived to NASA with their Perseverance Rover previously launched in February earlier this year.
