Something we all are looking forward to is a COVID-19 vaccine. Different drug companies have had multiple estimates, but who will win the race for a reliable vaccination to the virus that has taken over the globe? Life has changed as we know it, and now that we are six months in with COVID, a vaccine is the main goal.
Prominent figure and billionaire Bill Gates has confidence in Pfizer for the COVID-19 vaccine. He believes Pfizer has the best shot within the next month for an emergency approval for the coronavirus vaccine. Though he deems this as unlikely, he has been very proactive with the pandemic even before COVID-19 changed everything.
Gates expressed in an interview published on Tuesday, Sept 15 with CNBC that drug company Pfizer “might seek emergency use license by the end of October….There are three companies in the race and in the process of Phase 3 clinical trials in the United States. These phases go through safety measures and precautions.
Pfizer along with 15 other companies, has partnered with the Gates Foundation to help create the vaccine efficiently.
