In local news, Boone’s winter farmers’ market is hosting a senior appreciation day this Saturday February 12, from 9 a.m. to noon. This event is a celebration of the seniors in our community and it's the second senior appreciation day at the blue ridge women in agriculture’s farmers markets, the first being held on king street.
