In local news, Blowing Rock Town Council approves a new in town dispatch service. Blowing Rock’s board of commissioners has made a quick decision to expand local police dispatch services to 24-7-365 days in doing so, having to hire two more full time employees for the service. In national news, a former lecturer at the University of Los Angeles was ordered and held without bond on Thursday on a charge of threatening violence against the school in online videos and an 800 page document emailed to dozens of people. According to The Watauga Democrat.


In world news, The U.S, accused the Kremlin on Thursday of an elaborate plot to fabricate an attack by Ukrainian forces that Russia could use as a pretext to take military action against their neighbors. According to The Associated Press.
