President Trump orders Democrats to put stimulus payments to a halt until after the election. In Trump’s latest tweet he mentions Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi proposing a second stimulus payment since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March.
The stimulus package, summing up to $2.4 trillion was denied by Trump. This event occurred one day after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell suggests another stimulus package for Americans in order to recover from the pandemic.
Trump made this announcement during his first day back at the White House after his weekend at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after he tested positive for COVID-19 on Oct 2. He is still receiving treatment for COVID-19.
He says he will pass a major stimulus bill after the election.
