The new COVID-19 vaccine by Pfizer and BioNTech SE proves to be 90% effective. The trial has tens of thousands of volunteers who were given a shot that prevented the majority of the symptomatic infections.
This is the most successful vaccine so far with the battle of COVID-19. The main limits so far from this vaccine are that there isn’t much data on how it impacts the elderly.
Though this vaccine is in the preliminary stage, and just began in July, this is a promising result of the trial.
