Local: The local grassroots group Climate Action Collaborative created an alternative to Appalachian State’s Sustainability Team recently released their draft for their Climate Action Plan, deeming it inadequate. This group is made up of Appalachian State students, faculty, and local community members. They encourage App State to enhance its zero-waste efforts and the university’s emissions.
National: After the infamous Rockefeller Christmas Tree was revealed. Three days later, an owl inside the tree was found. His name is Rockefeller and he has since been taken to Ravensbeard Wildlife Center to be rehabilitated and eventually released back into the wild.
