Sports Update: Things Looking Bright in the Sunbelt

In a time where good news is hard to come by, App State football fans have a reason to celebrate. The Sunbelt approved a 12-game schedule for all teams starting on Labor Day weekend, according to the league's website.

The schedule will consist of 8 conference and 4 non-conference games with the Sunbelt Championship being played on December 5th.

Currently, App State is slated to play 10 games this season as both the Morgan State and Wisconsin games have been canceled. It is yet to be announced if App State will schedule different opponents (we would love some in-state matchups) or keep the schedule as is.

For the time being, the Mountaineers will open up the season against Wake Forest on September 11th in Winston-Salem.
