Andrew Gibson

What's up?!

I'm Andrew Gibson, originally from a small town in western North Carolina called, ironically enough, Andrews. I first made my debut in radio as an 18 year old senior in high school at WCNG 102.7 FM in Murphy, NC. From that day forward I became passionate about the radio broadcasting industry and have been involved with it ever since. As a little kid, I had always dreamed of being a sports broadcaster on radio/tv and it is my ultimate goal to one day be able to live that dream. As I am passionate about radio, I am also passionate about sports. Anyone who knows me, knows one thing, I am a sports nut. And so, you combine both my passion for radio broadcasting and my love of sports, and here I am. This year I am honored to be the Assistant Sports Director of the fabulous 90.5 WASU-FM! I will be the host of APPsolutely Sports with Colin Barrier, and will also appear on Sports out the WASU. You will hear myself and a host of others involved in numerous broadcasts for ASU athletics this season. Looking forward to an outstanding year at WASU!

Following his decision to step down and the announcement earlier this month, the Chancellor discusses with us the reason behind his choice, and where he's going to go from here.
